At the VII Ministerial Meeting of OPEC and Non-Opec countries in Vienna, a decision was made to reduce daily oil production by more than 500,000 barrels in the first quarter of 2020.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov paid a visit to Vienna, Austria at the invitation of Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The Minister will attend the 7th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, which will be held on December 6.

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov attended 5th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit and Ministerial Meeting in the capital of Equatorial Guinea, Malabo.

The event was organized on final report of Renewable Readiness Assessment (RRA) by of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) with the participation of the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, a number of government agencies, international organizations and experts.

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov paid a visit to Equatorial Guinea to attend at the events of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

The Ministry of Energy held a meeting with a delegation of French deputies, who are visiting Baku, to get acquainted with cooperation issues with Azerbaijan within EU Neighborhood Policy and Eastern Partnership.

The first meeting of the Experts Group was held at the Ministry of Energy to develop the project “Long-term development strategy of the energy sector of the Republic of Azerbaijan”. The first report of the EU "Support to the Government of Azerbaijan for the Development of the Energy Sector" was presented at the meeting.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov will receive citizens in Yevlakh city on December 10. Reception will take place at Heydar Aliyev Center in Yevlakh city (address: 61 Nizami Avenue) at 11:00.

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, who is on a visit to the USA, met with Wells Griffith, Senior Director for International Energy and Environment at National Security Council, The White House.

The Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov made a speech at the “Contract of the Century: Building on 25 Years of Success” forum, organized by the Caspian Policy Centre in Washington and with the participation of senior US government officials.
