Minister of Energy got acquainted with Scotland's green energy experience
Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov visited Aberdeen, the Scottish port city during his visit to the UK. The Minister paid a visit to Kincardine, the largest operating floating wind farm of the world. He got acquainted with the operation of 50 MW wind farm, which is in water 60 to 80 metres deep.
Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Michael Matheson, the Minister for Net Zero, Energy and Transport of Scotland. During the meeting, Scotland's energy development path as an oil and gas country was reviewed and issues on energy transition were discussed. The Minister also visited the renewable energy exhibition organized as part of the Energy Exports Conference in Aberdeen.
