Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency

 Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency was established by a Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 22, 2017, as a public legal entity (PLE) under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main responsibilities of the agency include the regulation of relations between producers, shipers, distributors, suppliers and consumers in the field of electricity and thermal energy, as well as gas supply in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In order to achieve this, the ministry makes proposals on activity analysis of enterprises, carries out restructuring measures, develops incentive mechanisms for attracting investments and controls the procedures on maintaining the requirements of engineering management system and quality of services.
Samir Akhundov is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the  Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency PLE, under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency

Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the Decree No. 1159 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 22, 2020 and the Charter of the Agency was approved.

The Agency is an organization that ensures the arrangement and regulation of activities in the field of renewable energy sources and their efficient use in the Republic of Azerbaijan, is involved in the implementation of state policy and is included in the structure of the Ministry of Energy.

Director of Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan is Cavid Abdullayev.
