The meeting with the delegation led by Rodrigo Maia President of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil was held at the Ministry of Energy on May 3.

The next meeting of the Working Group for Energy Regulatory was held. Within the third meeting of Working Group consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Energy Regulatory Agency, “Azerenergy” OJSC, “Azerishiq” OJSC, “Azerigaz” PU and “Azeristiliktechizat” OJSC a number of presentations were demosrated on regulatory function of energy sector, tariff regulation, revenues and subsidies, legal requirements for permits and licenses, as well as, on market control.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov received citizens at the administrative building of Shirvan branch of the Energy Regulatory Agency in Shirvan on April 29.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov attended the inauguration ceremony of the "Belt and Road Energy Partnership" held within the framework of the Second International Cooperation Forum "Belt and Road" in China.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov met with the Head of China’s National Energy Administration Zhang Jianhua within the second “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation. The sides discussed expansion of ties in the energy sector and cooperation within the "Belt and Road" initiative at the meeting.

4th SOCAR International “Caspian and Central Asia Downstream Forum” on Trading, Logistics, Refining and Petrochemicals was held in Baku. The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan attended at the event.

Today a trilateral meeting on energy cooperation between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held in Istanbul.

Discussions were held with the representatives of “Azerishiq” OJSC, “Azerigaz” PU and Energy Regulatory Agency at the Ministry of Energy to investigate citizens' complaints about gas and electricity supply and to solve problems operatively.

Representatives of full and associate members of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) met in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The Azerbaijani delegation led by Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AERA), also participated in the event.

During the first quarter of 2019, the Ministry of Energy received 795 appeals on consumers' rights protection, electricity and natural gas supply, installation of meters and other issues.
