Cooperation with Japanese company on energy supply of mountainous villages were discussed
A meeting was held between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and the delegation led by Emi Komai, the Executive Director Renewable Energy and Overseas Business department of the Japanese Komaihaltec company.
At the meeting, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Komaihaltec company - the manufacturer of renewable energy equipment which has experience in the implementation of hybrid energy systems, discussions were held on the electricity and heat supply based on renewable energy sources in the villages of mountainous regions of Azerbaijan. Cooperation with the company on a pilot project based on the introduction of the optimal hybrid system was considered. The sides exchanged views on the necessary aspects to realize feasibility study of the project. The prospects for expanding this experience to other mountainous villages, depending on the results of the Pilot project, as well as the company's participation in the implementation of the “green energy zone” concept in the liberated territories were also touched upon.
During the conversation, with the support of Japan, a proposal was made to conduct trainings on the construction of wind power plants and training of engineers in services and improving their professional qualities.
