The meeting of the Working Group on Connection to Power Supply Networks was held

On 23 June, the next meeting of the Working Group on connection to power supply networks of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held in video conference format.

The Head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev made an opening speech and provided information about the agenda of the meeting. The Head of the Secretariat of the Commission Vusal Shikhaliyev gave information about the measures to be implemented in connection with the "Business-Ready" report of the World Bank.

Then, according to the agenda of the meeting, reports were heard on the implementation status of the measures provided in the Road Map for 2022-2023 for the first half of the current year regarding the "Connection to utility services (Power supply network)" indicator. It was noted that the electronic reference book on the implementation of the relevant event was prepared and improved on the basis of the opinions and proposals of the relevant authorities.

A report on the status of implementation of the measures provided for in the "Communication Strategy for Connection to Power Supply Networks" for the first half of the current year was presented. The importance of increasing the level of awareness and satisfaction among entrepreneurs was emphasized. The statistics of e-applications for Connection to Power Supply Networks were reviewed and it was reported that a new increase in the number of online joinings was registered.

It was informed about the conduct of the relevant survey by the company specializing in this field for the evaluation of the procedures for Connection to Power Supply Networks. The results of the survey were reviewed, the evaluation of questionnaires by the Working Group, consumer rights protection issues related for Connection to Power Supply Networks were discussed.

At the end, information was given on the work done in filling out the survey and evaluation tables for the "Utility services (electricity supply)" indicator of the World Bank "Business-Ready" report, and the sides exchanged views about the evaluation criteria for each component.
