Under the chairmanship of Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, the next board meeting was held to discuss the work done in the relevant areas in the first half of 2023 and the measures to be taken in the next half year.

The chairman of the board noted the work done in accordance with the energy strategy set by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the upcoming tasks in this area.

Then, in accordance with the agenda of the meeting, the speeches were made by the representatives from the relevant structural units of the Ministry, AREA, AERA.

Reports on the implementation status of the measures implemented by the Ministry of Energy in the "'Action plan for the establishment of the green energy zone in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" and the  "I State Program on the Great Return to the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan" were heard.Information was provided on the works done and planned measures in the direction of activities of the Sub-Working Group on coordination and monitoring related to the application of green technologies and energy efficiency requirements in the liberated territories, restoration of the electricity and heat energy infrastructure of the liberated territories, restoration and reconstruction of a small hydropower plant, installation of solar panels, attraction of private investments in this area, lighting of streets and roads, installation of charging facilities for electric cars, creation of production and service areas related to the application of green technologies and other fields. It was noted that monitoring has already begun in these areas, in this regard, the approved implementation schedule, monitoring schedule and results of the first monitoring were presented to the members of the board.

Reports on the work done to create the “green energy” zone in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the targets set were also heard. According to the Action Plan of the "State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027", the items implemented by the Ministry of Energy, as well as the interest of foreign investors in the renewable energy potential of Nakhchivan, and their visits to the Autonomous Republic were reported.

A presentation was done on the work done on the electronicization of permits issued by the Ministry of Energy and the digitization of the permit database. Information was provided on the statistics of the issued permits and the advantages of e-services, and it was noted that it is planned to complete the electronization process by the end of the year.

At the end, the Chairman of the Board gave relevant instructions on the steps to be taken in the next half year on the discussed issues and the effective implementation of the forthcoming tasks.
