Today a trilateral meeting on energy cooperation between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held in Istanbul.
Discussions were held with the representatives of “Azerishiq” OJSC, “Azerigaz” PU and Energy Regulatory Agency at the Ministry of Energy to investigate citizens' complaints about gas and electricity supply and to solve problems operatively.
Representatives of full and associate members of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) met in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The Azerbaijani delegation led by Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AERA), also participated in the event.
During the first quarter of 2019, the Ministry of Energy received 795 appeals on consumers' rights protection, electricity and natural gas supply, installation of meters and other issues.
OPEC publishes special edition called "Baku hosts OPEC and non-OPEC event" which was dedicated to Azerbaijan in March. Articles titled “OPEC and non-OPEC make pilgrimage to Baku, cradle of the oil industry”, “OPEC and Azerbaijan: a strong and enduring partnership”, “Azerbaijan: land of history and prosperity” were published in this edition.
The reception date of the citizens by Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov in Shirvan city, which is scheduled for April 26, has been changed. The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov will receive citizens from Shirvan, Hajiqabul, Salyan and Neftchala regions in Shirvan city on April 29.
In March, daily oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 798,000 barrels, including 714,000 barrels crude oil and 84,000 barrels condensate. Daily export of crude oil constituted 586 thousand barrels, while export of condensate and oil products accounted for 84 thousand and 19.7 thousand barrels respectively.
548 appeals were received by the Call Center of the Ministry of Energy in the first quarter of 2019. The appeals mainly covered issues related to electricity and gas supply. 153 of them were related to power supply, 200 to gas supply, 9 to electric and gas meters, 7 to connection to the heating system and 26 to other issues. 53 incoming calls made up gratitude calls for solving the problems.
During the first quarter of 2019, 46 cases of administrative violations were reviewed at the Ministry of Energy. 22 of them were connected to natural gas and 24 to electricity. Articles submitted on 6 cases related to natural gas, which are not properly compiled, have been sent back.
The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov met with Deputy Chairman for Regional Development of the World Energy Council Oleg Budargin.
