At the Ministry of Energy, a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of "Azerkosmos" OJSC Rovshan Rustamov discussed issues of applying satellite observation services in the energy sector.

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov made a visit to Mıngachevir in order to get acquainted with the work implemented on the “Azerbaijan” TPP within the “Program on Optimization and Restoration of “Azerenerji” OJSC Power Generation”. The performance of the "Azerbaijan" TPP was observed and discussed with the participation of the Minister.

Members from Azerbaijan of the Joint Technical Commission established for continuing the construction and exploitation of “Khudaferin” and “Maiden Tower” hydro-junctions and hydroelectrical power plants on the Aras river participated in the meeting at the Ministry of Energy.

The OPEC Secretariat at the Austrian capital, Vienna, hosted a high-level meeting of non-OPEC countries on the "Charter of Cooperation between the Oil-producing Countries".

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Norwegian Equinor Absheron AS. The Memorandum envisages cooperation in the field of the use of renewable energy sources, the general principles of bilateral cooperation, assessment of renewable energy sources potential, and the creation of suitable conditions for profitable investment in this area.

The delegation led by the Minister of Energy of Mongolia, Tserenpil Davaasuren, who visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, has been at the Ministry of Energy. The Minister of Energy of Mongolia mentioned that this visit and meetings were an opportunity to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in energy sector, as well as in the other areas.

On February 20, the Fifth Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan attended the meeting.

A press conference on the outcomes of the Fifth Ministerial Meeting within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council was held with participation of the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov and the Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources of the European Commission Gunther Oettinger.

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov held several meetings within the framework of the fifth meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council. During the meeting with Gunter Oettinger, the European Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources, the parties have discussed energy cooperation with the European Union and perspectives for expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor. The importance of organizing the event with the participation of Balkan countries was emphasized.

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the Delegation led by Ashok Bargava, the Director of the Energy Division of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), who is on a visit to Azerbaijan within the framework of the Fifth Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council.
