On 17-18 March, Baku will host the 27th meeting of the Joint Technical Commission and 13th meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of the OPEC and Non-OPEC Countries.

In accordance with the meeting schedule set by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov received citizens at the ministry on the basis of applications received from Baku, Sumgayit, Shamkir and Guba districts.

In February, daily oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 806,000 barrels, including 722,000 barrels crude oil and 84,000 barrels condensate. Daily export of crude oil constituted 572.9 thousand barrels, while export of condensate and oil products accounted for 84 thousand and 18 thousand barrels respectively.

A Working Group meeting was held to discuss the proposals submitted by the experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) within the project on support of the operation of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and take measures for regular improvement of legal acts and other documents.

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Tony MacDonald, the Executive Director of Asian Development Bank.

The Energy Regulatory Agency and the Ernst & Young organized a workshop on "Energy Market Reform" and "Power Purchase Agreements". Best practices of the European Union countries were presented in the workshop.

The Ministry of Energy hosted a meeting with the delegation led by Suma Chakrabarti, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

A meeting with the Chairperson of the Italian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA), Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament Paolo Grimoldi was held at the Ministry of Energy.

The average interruption duration of electricity supply to the customer in the capital city Baku during 2018 was 0.86 hours (based on SAIDI indicator).

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov received the delegation led by Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, the Head of Saudi Arabia's General Investment Authority, co-chair of Saudi Arabia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission.
