Representatives of AERA and Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority met in Bucharest

The delegation led by Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) who is on a business visit to Romanian`s capital, Bucharest has held several important meetings with representatives of Romania`s National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE).

AERA delegation who participates in sessions on licensing of energy agencies, application rules and methodology of tariffs application, regulation of wholesale and retail markets, as well as types and operating rules of suppliers got acquainted with the organizational structure and activity of Romanian energy regulatory authority, and attend at the discussions on market monitoring, market operator, distribution of authority between transmitters and regulatory bodies, dispute settlement and protection of consumers` rights, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

It should be noted that the main purpose of the visit is to learn the experience of Romania in the field of energy regulation and to analyze the application of practical knowledge gained in Azerbaijan.
