The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov will pay a visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

According to the instructions and recommendations given by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the heads of central executive bodies to get acquainted with the citizens' suggestions, comments and complaints, the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov will receive citizens from Lankaran and Astara districts in Lankaran on May 31.

The next technical seminar of the Black Sea Regulatory Initiative started in Budapest on 13-15 May 2019 by the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) and National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).

In April, daily oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 683,000 barrels, including 605,000 barrels crude oil and 78,000 barrels condensate. Daily export of crude oil constituted 390 thousand barrels, while export of condensate and oil products accounted for 75 thousand and 19 thousand barrels respectively.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov received a delegation of businessmen from the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting with the delegation led by Rodrigo Maia President of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil was held at the Ministry of Energy on May 3.

The next meeting of the Working Group for Energy Regulatory was held. Within the third meeting of Working Group consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Energy Regulatory Agency, “Azerenergy” OJSC, “Azerishiq” OJSC, “Azerigaz” PU and “Azeristiliktechizat” OJSC a number of presentations were demosrated on regulatory function of energy sector, tariff regulation, revenues and subsidies, legal requirements for permits and licenses, as well as, on market control.
