The use of geothermal energy for the first time in heating houses

Heating of houses using geothermal sources was first started in Iceland in 1928.

Currently, geothermal springs are used for both heating buildings and other industrial purposes, depending on their temperature, such as electricity production, cooling, and energy supply for greenhouses.

Assessment of geothermal energy potential in our country and expansion of opportunities for its use are continued within the Working Group established in this area.
