Ecological Knowledge Day

15 April is celebrated globally as Ecological Knowledge Day. The history of this day originates from the UN conference on environmental problems, held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.

The main purpose of the establishment of the day is the formation of ecological culture in society through awareness-raising, prevention of damage to the environment, natural resources, flora and fauna as a result of the influence of anthropogenic and technogenic activities, as well as promotion of sustainable use of natural energy resources.
