Residential building that produces more energy than its first demand in the world

Elithis Danube Tower, which consists of 16 floors and 63 apartments, located in Strasbourg, was built in 2018 and is considered the first energy positive residential building in the world. This structure produces more renewable energy than its inhabitants consume and the needs of the building. Solar panels installed on the facades (790 m2) and roof (443 m2) of the building generate 8% more electricity than it needs, selling it to the power grid.
