World Environmental Education Day

26 January is celebrated as World Environmental Education Day.

The purpose of this day founded in Stockholm in 1972, is to draw attention to environmental protection, to inform people about environmental problems and to emphasize the importance of education, which allows them to actively participate in their solution.

Everyone can contribute to this special day by supporting waste reduction, recycling, expanding the use of green energy, energy conservation and environmentally friendly initiatives.
