World RenNEW Day

World REnew Day was celebrated for the first time on 22 June 2019. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to promote the transition from traditional energy to environmentally friendly green energy by raising awareness.

The installed capacity of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan is 1748.6 MW. This is 20.86% of the total installed capacity of electricity. During the first 5 months of the current year, the share of green energy in the electricity production in our country increased to 14%.
