International Sun Day

3 May  is celebrated as International Sun Day in order to draw attention to the potential of the earth's large amount of solar energy and the prospects for using it. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency, in the last decade, a 7.5-fold increase in the global solar energy installed capacity has been recorded. Thus, this indicator, which was 140 GW in 2013, increased to 1053 GW last year.
