Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline

16 years have passed since the commissioning of the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, the offshore export terminal in Ceyhan and the entire BTC export pipeline system. Considered the Legend of the Three Seas, BTC is a world-class pipeline which is 1768 km long through the territory of three countries. The transmission capacity of the BTC pipeline, which provides safe and reliable access to international markets, is 1.2 million barrels per day. Since 13 July 2006, more than 463 million tons of Azerbaijani oil have been transported from the Caspian to the Mediterranean Sea through this pipeline.
