An event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held

The Ministry of Energy held an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, world-known politician, wise statesman, National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

First, employees of the Ministry of Energy and agencies under the Ministry visited the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor,and laid flowers.

The event continued with a meeting dedicated to the life and activity of great leader Heydar Aliyev.

Opening the event, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov spoke about the national leader's love for the motherland, commitment to the people, love for the native language, loyalty to national and moral values, historical traditions, innovation and modern personnel policy, which played an unprecedented role in the socio-political life of the Azerbaijani people and the history of statehood. He spoke about the state policy and invaluable services of Azerbaijan in the direction of the development of the energy industry. "Great leader Heydar Aliyev skillfully determined all his decisions both in the Soviet period and in the years of independence according to the future time. In this regard, the Contract of the Century is the contribution of Heydar Aliyev's far-sighted policy towards true leaders", the Minister said. "Heydar Aliyev said that the foundation laid by the Contract of the Century creates excellent opportunities for the development, prosperous life of the Azerbaijani people in the 21st century, for further strengthening the sovereignty of the independent Azerbaijani state. I believe that the 21st century will be the happiest period for the independent state of Azerbaijan.” It was noted that the saving and constructive mission of the National Leader was successfully continued today by his worthy follower, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

At the event, other employees from the Ministry spoke about the role of Heydar Aliyev in the formation of the oil and gas policy of Azerbaijan and the development of the energy system, and the period of formation of the largest political party of the Caucasus - the New Azerbaijan Party, which is related to the name of the leader, and the path it has taken have been reviewed.
