An event dedicated to the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty was held

An event on "Clean Environment and Green Enegy is our national priority" was held in accordance with to the Action Plan approved by the Ministry of Energy within the declaration of 2025 the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a fundamental document formed as a result of the political will and foresight of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, which laid the foundation of our independent statehood. It was emphasized that the liberation of our lands from occupation as a result of the successful policy carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev served to ensure the full sovereignty of our state in accordance with the spirit and goals of our Constitution, being a great military achievement, a political and diplomatic victory.

Then, the speeches of the director of AREA Javid Abdullayev and other employees on the green energy potential of our country, implemented renewable energy projects, green energy corridors implemented jointly with the countries of Central Asia and Europe were listened, and the contribution of these projects to the economic development of Azerbaijan was mentioned. It was noted that the development of the use of green energy is one of the priorities of the energy course set by the Head of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the basis of this policy is the principles of energy security, accessibility and sustainable development. The speeches also emphasized that the work done to create a “green energy zone” in the liberated territories and the projects implemented in these territories not only increase the energy export opportunities of our country, but also serve to protect the ecological balance.

It should be noted that by Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan N 432, dated 28 December 2024 on declaration of the year 2025 "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
