A meeting was held with representatives of Toyota Tsusho Corporation

A meeting with representatives of the Japanese company Toyota Tsusho Corporation was held at the Ministry of Energy. The primary purpose of the meeting organized at the initiative of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was to exchange information and experience on hydrogen energy.
The prospects for the production of green hydrogen in Azerbaijan were noted. It was emphasized that following the Socio-economic development Strategy for 2022-2026 approved by the order of the head of state, increasing the use of renewable energy sources, environmentally friendly vehicles, and expanding the use of other green technologies is one of the main goals.  The document envisages studying the potential of hydrogen production, its use, and formulating proposals for pilot projects in this field.

The representatives of the company made a presentation on the decarbonization of the transport sector. It was emphasized that renewables such as wind, solar, and especially green hydrogen had been the company's main business area. 

The representatives of the Ministry of Energy and agencies under the Ministry attended the meeting.
