The delegation led by Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) who is on a business visit to Romanian`s capital, Bucharest has held several important meetings with representatives of Romania`s National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE).
The Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov will visit to Saint-Petersburg of Russia to participate at next meeting and 6th Youth Forum of World Petroleum Council tomorrow.
Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of renewable energy was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Japanese Mitsui company. The Memorandum envisages co-operation and assessment of potential for investment in renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the relations between the two countries, energy cooperation and regional issues.
In May, daily oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 776,000 barrels, including 699,000 barrels crude oil and 77,000 barrels condensate. Daily export of crude oil constituted 494 thousand barrels, while export of condensate and oil products accounted for 75 thousand and 14 thousand barrels respectively.
