The 99th anniversary of the National Leader was celebrated at the Ministry of Energy

An event was held at the Ministry of Energy on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of a wise leader, architect and founder of our modern independent state, National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Deputy Minister of Energy, acting Minister Samir Valiyev made a speech and spoke about the deep and successful political activity of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev as a great personality, owner of extraordinary intelligence, innate talent, wise statesman who left a bright and indelible mark on the history of the modern world. It was noted that due to the determination and persistence of Heydar Aliyev in all periods of his leadership in Azerbaijan, our country has embarked on a path of development from recession. The National Leader removed Azerbaijan from the hard and tough tests of time as a state and determined the future development strategy of the country and took important steps for its implementation. Among the important reforms carried out by the National Leader, the work done in the field of energy was emphasized. It was stated that, the development programs, significant measures, effective personnel reforms and management methods put forward by Heydar Aliyev have formed the foundation of long-term development in all areas, as well as in the energy sector. The oil industry has been reconstructed and the rapid development of our electric power system, which has more than a century of history, has been achieved.

In the speech, it was noted that the strategic development course of the Great Leader was successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The Southern Gas Corridor project, the complex measures carried out in the oil and gas sector, the reforms carried out in the energy sector, the achievements gained in the field of green energy were evaluated as examples of the development of Heydar Aliyev's strategy at a new stage.

Then a film dedicated to the national leader was presented. Employees of the Ministry of Energy informed about the socio-political activity of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev as the founder of the New Azerbaijan Party, and Heydar Aliyev`s special care and attention to the upbringing of the younger generation were mentioned.

After the event, the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Energy and agencies visited the Alley of Honor, laid flowers and paid tribute to his dear memory.
