A webinar on "Ethics and civil service" was held with the aim of educating civil servants, which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Energy and the Government-Civil Society Dialogue Platform on Promotion of Open Government. The online training was organized in accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of the “Strategy for the development of civil service in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2025” approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 739 dated November 23, 2018.

Asad Ismayilov, Head of Department of Civil Service and  Human Resources, Ethics Commissioner of the Ministry of Energy first congratulated the participants on the occasion of the Republic Day on May 28 and wished them success in their activities. Speaking about the importance of the training, he stressed the regular implementation of these activities and the importance of enlightenment and underlined the significance of the attention and care provided by the Ministry to the improvement of professional skills of the youth working in the civil service and development as professional young specialists.

Then, trainer Zaur Ibrahimli made a presentation on the requirements arising from the Law "On the rules of ethics conduct of civil servants " and the rules of conduct. The theoretical knowledge on the main principles and objectives of the rules of ethical conduct, ethical dilemmas, moral principles, professional ethics, ethical duties arising from the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan were brought to the attention, the requirements for the execution of the service duty for civil servant, the ethical values expected from the civil servant, the implementation of control over the observance of the rules and other topics were discussed.

The webinar was attended by employees of the Ministry of Energy and members of the public council under the Ministry.
