According to operational data for January-April 2023, Azerbaijan produced 16.2 bcm of natural gas. 4.4 bcm of gas were produced from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli, 8.8 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz and 3 bcm from SOCAR. Gas was transported with an increase of 411 million cm, namely 2.6 per cent compared to the relevant period of last year.

During this period, gas sales amounted to 8.4 bcm, which was 10.5 % more compared to the same period previous year. In January - April 2023, 3.9 billion cubic meter of gas was sold to Europe, 3.4 bcm to Türkiye, and 1.1 bcm to Georgia. During this period nearly 1.9 bcm gas was exported to Türkiye through TANAP.

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz till 1 May 2023, about 208 bcm of gas was produced from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and more than 192 bcm of gas from Shah Deniz. During this period, 135 bcm gas was exported from Shah Deniz.

Azerbaijan produced 10.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) in January - April 2023. Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli accounted for 6.2 million tons of oil produced while Shah Deniz for 1.5 million tons (condensate). SOCAR's oil output amounted to 2,5 million tons (including condensate).

Over the four months of current year, the volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to 8.5 million tons. Out of this consortium accounts for 7.6 million tons, SOCAR for 847 thousand tons.

Since its commissioning till 1 May 2023, more than 615 million tons oil (including condensate) were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz. 573 million tons of oil were extracted from ACG, while 42 million tons condensate from Shah Deniz. Till 1 May 2023, more than 612 million tons were exported.

During January - April 2023, oil refining in the country amounted to 2.2 million tons. Oil refinery has been 360 thousand tons more in comparison with the relevant period of the previous year.
