The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov attended at the 6th Youth Forum, organized by the World Petroleum Council and with the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.

The delegation led by Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) who is on a business visit to Romanian`s capital, Bucharest has held several important meetings with representatives of Romania`s National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE).

The Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov will visit to Saint-Petersburg of Russia to participate at next meeting and 6th Youth Forum of World Petroleum Council tomorrow.

Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of renewable energy was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Japanese Mitsui company. The Memorandum envisages co-operation and assessment of potential for investment in renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan.

The delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) Samir Akhundov visits Romania. The main purpose of the visit, which will last until June 21, is to learn the experience of Romania in the field of energy regulation and to analyze the application of practical knowledge gained in Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the International Energy Charter Forum held in Albania on June 13, Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev met with Secretary General of the Secretariat Urban Rusnak.

The next roundtable discussion on "Cooperation between Public and Private Sector in Development of Renewable Energy Legislation" was held by The Ministry of Energy with the participation of representatives of “Azerenergy” OJSC, “Azerishiq” OJSC, State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Regulatory Agency, a number of international companies and financial institutions.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov will receive citizens from Khachmaz and Shabran districts in Khachmaz on June 28.

Trainings on audit were conducted at power plants jointly organized by Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and DNV GL.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov has met with a delegation led by Vice President of the German Bundestag Thomas Oppermann at the Ministry of Energy. During the meeting, the sides discussed the relations between the two countries, energy cooperation and regional issues.
