The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Kazakh Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev in the framework of the 13th meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of the OPEC and non-OPEC Countries held in Baku.

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Alexander Novak, the Energy Minister of the Russian Federation within the framework of the 13th meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of the OPEC and non-OPEC countries held in Baku.

14 oil countries and OPEC Secretariat will be represented at high level at the 13th meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) of OPEC and non- OPEC countries to be held in Baku on March 18.

Ministry of Energy hosted a meeting with the delegation led by Mr. Stephan Dion, Special Envoy of the Canadian Prime Minister for EU and European Affairs, Canadian Ambassador to Germany. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss oil and gas industries of Azerbaijan and Canada and opportunities for cooperation between two countries.

The Ministry of Energy hosted the meeting with the delegation of Montenegro’s “Adriatic Capital” company. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss cooperation opportunities with the Adriatic Capital in renewable energy sector.

On 17-18 March, Baku will host the 27th meeting of the Joint Technical Commission and 13th meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee of the OPEC and Non-OPEC Countries.

In accordance with the meeting schedule set by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov received citizens at the ministry on the basis of applications received from Baku, Sumgayit, Shamkir and Guba districts.

In February, daily oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 806,000 barrels, including 722,000 barrels crude oil and 84,000 barrels condensate. Daily export of crude oil constituted 572.9 thousand barrels, while export of condensate and oil products accounted for 84 thousand and 18 thousand barrels respectively.

A Working Group meeting was held to discuss the proposals submitted by the experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) within the project on support of the operation of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and take measures for regular improvement of legal acts and other documents.

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Tony MacDonald, the Executive Director of Asian Development Bank.
