Energy Regulatory Working Group meeting was held

A Working Group meeting was held to discuss the proposals submitted by the experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) within the project on support of the operation of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and take measures for regular improvement of legal acts and other documents. Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Agency, stressed the significance of reference to the best practices in order to ensure that the Agency performs its functions more efficiently.

Working group members representing the Ministry of Energy, Energy Regulatory Agency, “Azerigaz” PU, “Azeristiliktechizat” (Azerheatsupply) OJSC, “Azerenergy” OJSC and “Azerishig” OJSC discussed possible proposals to effectively achieve upcoming targets.

It is worth emphasizing that DNV GL is the implementer of the “Energy Regulatory Agency Support Project” of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), a project that aims to develop and introduce legal and institutional reforms necessary for the performance of the Energy Regulatory Agency.
