The Energy Ministry hosted a meeting with a delegation of scientists and specialists from Novatek, Russia's largest independent natural gas producer. The event was held within the framework of the international educational program "The largest oil and gas projects in the Caspian region: the importance of business and technology development" implemented by the Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas Business.

The meeting focused on the importance of exchanging information and practices in scientific and technical fields to further develop cooperation in the energy sector. It was noted that the implementation of international educational programs can make an important contribution to the development of business relations, as well as the strengthening of social capital and the training of human resources in the framework of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The delegation was briefed on the history of the country's oil and gas industry, global and trans-regional projects implemented during the years of independence, including the Contract of the Century, Shah Deniz, and the Southern Gas Corridor projects, and a video about the achievements in the relevant fields was shown.  Presentations were also made on reforms in the field of electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, perspective plans, and implemented projects.
