Meeting of Working Group on Implementation of "Strategic Road Map for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry (including Chemical Products) of the Republic of Azerbaijan" held at the Ministry of Energy

A Working Group meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy to ensure the implementation of activities under the "Strategic Road Map for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry (including Chemical Products) of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

Chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Minister Elnur Soltanov noted that the Ministry of Energy took part in the Strategic Road Map as the main executor of 8 events, the implementation of two events was over, and appropriate measures were taken on 6 events.

It was noted that the aim of Working Group is to ensure timely implementation of events according to the strategic road map of ministry, to discuss and settle problems, as well as to identify steps for the next period.

At the meeting the results of the work done on the respective items of the “Strategic Road Map for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry (including chemical products)” plan was discussed. The existing regulatory documents and proposals on legislative acts were discussed to improve the licensing process for intelligence. The extend the execution period for detailed assessment and analysis of some measures envisaged in 2019, to define production targets for the national economy, to prepare proposals for improvement of the fuel market regulation, to learn the world experience in this field and other issues were discussed. 

The working group includes representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Taxes, Finance, SOCAR, “SOCAR PETROLEUM” CJSC, “SOCAR Polymer” LLC, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation.
