Online meeting between the Ministry of Energy and the French Organization of Entrepreneurs (MEDEF)

An online meeting between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the French Organization of Entrepreneurs (MEDEF) was held to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan-France public and private sector in the field of energy. Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France Rahman Mustafayev and Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Zakariyya Gross also attended at the videoconfrence led by Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov and executive director of “MEDEF International” Philippe Gauthier and with the participation of more than 20 companies.
Considering the "Absheron" project as a contribution of Azerbaijan-France cooperation in the energy sector, Deputy Minister brought to the attention the information on the development of the energy sector of our country at the modern stage. The work done in the field of renewable energy, electric power engineering and energy efficiency, the new legislative framework and the targets set by 2030 were discussed. It was noted that there is great potential for cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
Then, the presentation "Investment opportunities in the energy sector in Azerbaijan" was demonstrated and the questions of businessmen were answered.
It should be noted that "MEDEF International" has been cooperating with Azerbaijan since 1992.
