Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada. The sides discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the field of energy, future cooperation opportunities, as well as exchange of experience and information in the relevant field. 
The ambassador stressed the importance of the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from Armenian occupation, restoration of territorial integrity for the future development of our country, and said that Japanese companies are interested in participating in the restoration and reconstruction work to be carried out in the field of energy in our liberated territories. 
The Minister noted that our country has close cooperation with Japanese government agencies and financial institutions in the energy sector, and Japanese companies are implementing a number of successful projects in this area. Information was given about the plans for the restoration of liberated territories and the creation of a green energy zone, as well as the renewable energy potential of these territories. 
Then, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in the mentioned areas and other issues of mutual interest.
Thanking for the warm welcome, the ambassador said he would spare no efforts to further strengthen the energy relations between the two countries.
