Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov visited the “Azerbaijan” TPP

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov made a visit to Mıngachevir in order to get acquainted with the work implemented on the “Azerbaijan” TPP within the “Program on Optimization and Restoration of “Azerenerji” OJSC Power Generation”. The performance of the "Azerbaijan" TPP was observed and discussed with the participation of the Minister.

President of “Azerenerji” OJSC Baba Rzayev provided information on the work carried out on “Azerbaijan” TPP in compliance with the Program.  According to the information, capital repair works were carried out in the turbines and boilers of the energy blocks No. 6 and 7. During the reconstruction, energy blocks No. 6 and 7, all expired equipment in 550 kV Open Distribution Systems of transmission autotransformers No.1 and 2 were replaced with new ones. Also, contemporary SP6 gas switches, measuring transformers, new cable ducts and control cables were installed. 

Furthermore, preparations on the reconstruction of 330 kV Open Distribution Systems are underway, as well as the construction of new management center continues.

It bears reminding that the “Program on Optimization and Restoration of “Azerenerji” OJSC Power Generation” was prepared and launched in April-July, 2018 with the involvement of German Enerco/VPC companies by the Ministry of Energy and participation of “Azerenerji” OJSC.
