Energy Minister receives Special Envoy of Canadian Prime Minister for EU and European Affairs, Canadian Ambassador to Germany

Ministry of Energy hosted a meeting with the delegation led by Mr. Stephan Dion, Special Envoy of the Canadian Prime Minister for EU and European Affairs, Canadian Ambassador to Germany. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss oil and gas industries of Azerbaijan and Canada and opportunities for cooperation between two countries. 

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov provided detailed information on the evolution of oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan, global energy and communication projects, recent trends in world energy market and energy sector reforms carried out by Azerbaijan to address new challenges for our country. 

Cooperation with Canadian company “Zenith Energy Ltd.”, as well as potential cooperation in renewable energy sector and other areas were also discussed at the meeting.
