Minister of Energy holds meeting with Indonesian Ambassador

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Husnan Bey Fananie who has completed his diplomatic mission held a meeting in videoconference format. Minister of Energy highly appreciated the activity of Husnan Bey Fanani contributing to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries, including the development of energy cooperation and wished him success in his future activities. 
The current status and prospects of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia were also discussed at the meeting. The collaborative matters between SOCAR and "Pertamina" on investment and development of oil and gas fields were reviewed. It was noted that "Memorandum of Understanding on energy cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia" is ready for signing. They noted that it would be practical sign the document during the visit of the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources to Azerbaijan. 
It should be noted that SOCAR has been supplying crude oil to Indonesia since 2007. During 2007-2019, SOCAR supplied a total of 25.1 million tons of crude oil to Indonesia.
