The 5th technical seminar of energy regulators started in Budapest with support of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) and National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).

On the first day of a two-day seminar on April 4-5 sponsored by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), discussions on the topic " Gas Infrastructure Projects` Costs and Income Analysis: Analytical Methods and Instruments", and   on the second day the implementation of different tasks on the agenda are planned.

During the discussions different presentations and thematic analysis of regulators on gas infrastructure projects' costs and income analysis are demonstrated, the experience of the regulatory authorities of different countries and the transmission system operator is learned. 

An official representative of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is an associate member of the Energy Regulators Regional Association, is also attending the event held in Budapest, Hungary. Representatives gain practical knowledge on the importance of the cost and income analysis mechanism, and participate in interactive sessions. Thus, the regulators learned the methodology of using this mechanism by acquiring relevant experience in the field of investment project assessment.
