On January 13, the next meeting of the Working Group on connection to power supply networks of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held in video conference format.
The head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev spoke about the work done over the last year on the index of “Connection to Electricity” of the “Doing Business” Report. In the preliminary data released by the World Bank, the relevant research on the Doing Business 2020 Report and the re-evaluation of the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in the relevant direction were emphasized. Samir Valiyev said that as a result of the work done, procedure for connecting to the power supply network and reducing the number of days will have a positive impact on improving the rating of your company. The head of the Working Group noted the main directions of the work to be done in 2021 and the necessity of timely implementation of the measures envisaged in the Action Plan.
Then, Vusal Shikhaliyev, the Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, Head of the Monitoring, Coordination and Evaluation of Economic Reforms Division of Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan shared his views on the priorities of the Working Group. It was also noted the importance of expanding the scope of electronic applications management system for connection to the power supply network of "Azerishig" OJSC.
At the meeting, Farid Amirov, director of the Department of Work with ASAN Service and e-governence of “Azerishig” OJSC, which is the main body on the work to be done in connection with the relevant measures envisaged in the Action Plan of the Working Group for 2021, made a presentation. 
Also, Deputy Head of the Law Department of the Ministry of Energy Murvat Babayev made presentation on relevant work to be done in connection with the measures of the Action Plan on "Reviewing of the possibility of electronicization of appeals of business entities in order to connect to the power supply network for the purchase of electricity (capacity) for existing or future construction facilities with a required capacity of more than 150 kW" and "Adaptation of normative legal acts in the field of connection to the power supply network to the requirements of the e-system and submission of proposals for further improvement of the legislation in this field"
Emin Abdullayev, Head of the Department of Small and Medium Business Regulation and Promotion Department of Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan made a presentation on the results of the survey conducted among businesses in the second half of 2020.
Then, the questions addressed to the participants were answered in the format of mutual discussions.
