Trainings on audit were conducted at power plants jointly organized by Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and DNV GL.

At the trainings consisting of several panels, firstly,  information was given on the key factors that impacted the cost of heating power plants and energy system technologies which are actual topics for Azerbaijan. Then, an expert from Germany Frank Schultz spoke about the concept of audit, gave information on comparative analysis, optimization of expenses, energy efficiency, and also fields where audits were carried out such as workplace safety, operational procedures, environmental protection.   

Trainer answering the participants' questions during the trainings on interactive discussions talked about the preparation for audit, gave examples of the energy efficiency of the audit plan and explained the methodology for analyzing the data on used energy sources and relevant variables. The trainings focused on collecting date on energy-using devices and energy evaluation, energy-saving potential and energy efficiency assessment, as well as communication and behavior rules.

Trainer talking about the experience of leading European countries in this field gave information about operating modes and stages, instructions on the distribution of energy, fuel consumption and efficiency, maintenance modes, availability and reliability of the station, as well as the environmental aspects of the operation of power plant and their impact on the price of the product.
