The next technical seminar of the Black Sea Regulatory Initiative started in Budapest on 13-15 May 2019 by the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) and National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).

A three-day seminar sponsored by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) involves NARUC experts, representatives of regulatory authorities of the US and European countries, as well as of the regulatory authorities of the Black Sea Region.

At the roundtable discussions on "Additional Services and Balancing" organized for the participants from the Black Sea Region within seminar in the capital of Hungary discussions are held on the efforts made in the collection of technical and detailed information necessary for price determination, as well as cost-based evaluation on additional services and balancing.

It should be noted that this mechanism involves the transnational steps and the balancing of markets in the region. Experts take part in group assignments, and presentations at roundtables. Representatives give information on sub-regional initiatives, talk their success stories to the participants.

An official representative of the Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is an associate member of the Energy Regulators Regional Association, is also attending the event.
