Operative data on oil and gas during nine months of this year

According to the operative data, Azerbaijan produced 26.1 million tons of oil (including condensate) in January-September 2020. The production of oil (including condensate) decreased by 2,1 million tons compared to the same period a year before.

"Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" accounted for 17.8 million tons of oil produced in the republic while "Shah Deniz" for 2.7 million tons (condensate). SOCAR's oil output amounted to 5.6 million tons (including condensate).

Over the nine months of current year, the volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to 21.5 million tons. This is 1.9 million tons (8%) less than in January-September 2019. 20.4 million tons of oil-condensate were exported by the consortium and 1.1 million tons by SOCAR.

During the nine months of 2020, gas output amounted to 27.5 bcm, which increased by more than 5.9 % (1.5 bcm) compared to the respective period of last year. 8.7 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 13.3 bcm from Shah Deniz. SOCAR produced 5.5 bcm gas during this period.

During this period, gas sales amounted to 9.6 bcm, which was 15.7% more compared to the same period previous year. In the January-September, compared to the same period in 2019, 7.9 bcm (21.3 % more) gas was exported to Turkey. Gas exported to Georgia was 1.6 bcm. It should be noted that, during this period 3.2 bcm gas was exported to Turkey through TANAP.

From 30 June 2018 to 1 October 2020, 7.1 bcm gas has been transported to Turkey via TANAP.

Since its commissioning till October 1, 547.6 million tons oil (including condensate) were extracted from "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" and "Shah Deniz". 518.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) were extracted from ACG, while 29.4 million tons from Shah Deniz. Since their commissioning till 1 October 2020, 547 million tons oil (including condensate) were exported from these fields.

173.7 bcm gas were extracted from ACG, while 130.1 bcm gas from Shah Deniz. Since its commissioning till 1 October 2020, 86.5 bcm gas were exported from Shah Deniz.

Over the nine months of 2020, Azerbaijan refined 4347 thousand tons of oil. Oil refinery has been 385.9 thousand tons less in comparison with the relevant period of the previous year.
