Oil production decreased and gas production increased over the ten months 

According to the operative data, Azerbaijan produced 28.8 million tons of oil (including condensate) in January-October 2020. The production of oil (including condensate) decreased by 2,3 million tons compared to the same period a year before.

"Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" accounted for 19.7 million tons of oil produced in the republic while "Shah Deniz" for 2.9 million tons (condensate). SOCAR's oil output amounted to 6.2 million tons (including condensate).

Over the ten months of the current year, the volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to 23.8 million tons. This is 2.2 million tons (8.5%) less than in January-October 2019. 22.6 million tons of oil-condensate were exported by the consortium and 1.2 million tons by SOCAR.

During the ten months of 2020, gas output amounted to 30.5 bcm, which increased by more than 5.4 % (1.6 bcm) compared to the respective period of last year. 9.7 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 14.7 bcm from Shah Deniz. SOCAR produced 6.1 bcm gas during this period.

During this period, gas sales amounted to 10.8 bcm, which was 15% more compared to the same period previous year. In the January-October, compared to the same period in 2019, 9 bcm (20.9 % more) gas was exported to Turkey. Gas exported to Georgia was 1.8 bcm. It should be noted that, during this period 3.7 bcm gas was exported to Turkey through TANAP.

From 30 June 2018 to 1 October 2020, 7.1 bcm gas has been transported to Turkey via TANAP.

Since its commissioning till November 1, 549.7 million tons oil (including condensate) were extracted from "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" and "Shah Deniz". 520.1 million tons of oil (including condensate) were extracted from ACG, while 29.6 million tons from Shah Deniz. Since their commissioning till 1 November 2020, 549.2 million tons oil (including condensate) were exported from these fields.

174.7 bcm gas were extracted from ACG, while 131.5 bcm gas from Shah Deniz. Since its commissioning till 1 November 2020, 87.6 bcm gas were exported from Shah Deniz.

Over the ten months of 2020, Azerbaijan refined 4.8 million tons of oil.  Oil refinery has been 246 thousand tons less in comparison with the relevant period of the previous year.
