The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan will attend the 7th Ministerial meeting of the “OPEC plus”

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov paid a visit to Vienna, Austria at the invitation of Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The Minister will attend the 7^th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, which will be held on December 6.

At the Vienna meeting of the “OPEC plus” ministers, the status of global oil market will be discussed. Presentation of OPEC based on an analysis of trends in world economy and oil market development and performance indicators on commitments of countries will be reviewed.

It should be noted that “Declaration of Cooperation” signed on December 7, 2018 on the reduction of oil production for “OPEC plus” by 1.2 million barrels per day was extended from July 1 of the current year till the end of the first quarter of 2020.
