The meeting of Working Group on increasing the efficiency of the heating supply system in Azerbaijan was held

The next meeting of Working Group on the preparation of proposals for reforms in this field was held to increase the efficiency of the heating supply system in the country, to meet the consumers` demand in a reliable manner. Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev, Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Agency Samir Akhundov, Deputy Chairman of “Azeristiliktechizat” OJSC Ilham Mirzayev and the representatives of the German VPC company attended at the meeting.

The interim report of “Azeristiliktechizat” on Complex Diagnostics and Recommendations OJSC was presented at the meeting. The presentation covers the status of the heat supply system, key performance indicators, loss analysis, thermal energy accounting, heat energy costs, environmental impact, tariff analysis, renewable energy for heating supply, diagnostics - energy efficiency, Baku TPP diagnostics and alternatives. Experts of the German VPC company discussed the summary of interim report, and participants of the meeting shared their views and ideas on the development of proposals to increase the efficiency of the heating system in the country and to ensure that the demands of consumers are met in a reliable manner.

It should be noted that a working group has been established to develop proposals for reforms in these areas to increase the efficiency of the heating supply system in the country and to ensure that consumers' demands are met in a reliable manner as a part of “Action Plan” on the implementation of the tasks outlined by the Presidential Decree No. 1209 dated May 29, 2019 "On the acceleration of reforms in the energy sector of the Republic of Azerbaijan" .
