On December 9, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the delegation led by State Secretary of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and co-chair of joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Italy Manlio Di Stefano at ADA University.
During the state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev to Italy in February this year,  according to the agreement signed between ADA University and the University of Luiss to expand the Italy-Azerbaijan education program and to establish Italy-Azerbaijan University, the importance of continuing the work was emphasized. Rector of ADA University, professor Hafiz Pashayev gave information on the preparation carried out within the mentioned cooperation.
At the meeting, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the guest for the position of the Italian government in the course of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as for the feedback to the letter addressed to the Secretary of State in a short time.  
Mr. Manlio shared his impressions of his visit to Aghdam, which was liberated from Armenian occupation, and said that Italian companies were interested in participating in the reconstruction works to be carried out in the liberated territories after the victory. The sides also touched upon the economic and trade relations between the two countries and discussed the ongoing and future projects with Italian companies. 
The importance of the Southern Gas Corridor and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, the last segment of the project, was stressed, and it was noted that Azerbaijani gas would soon be transported to Europe through the corridor.
In conclusion, it was agreed to hold a meeting in videoconference format to discuss the preparation for the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Italy to be held in Baku next year.
