During the 6 months, 16.5 million tons of oil and 23.4 bcm of gas were produced in the country
According to the operative data, Azerbaijan produced 16.5 million tons of oil (including condensate) in January-June 2022.
"Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" accounted for 10.4 million tons of oil produced in the republic while "Shah Deniz" for 2.2 million tons (condensate). SOCAR's oil output amounted to 3.9 million tons (including condensate).
The volume of exported oil, including condensate, amounted to 13.4 million tons. Out of this, consortium accounts for nearly 12.6 million tons, SOCAR for 780 thousand tons.
For 6 months, 23.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas was produced in the country. 6.9 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 12.6 bcm from Shah Deniz. SOCAR produced 3.9 bcm gas during this period. Gas was transported with an increase of approximately 3.1 bcm, namely 15.1 percent compared to the relevant period last year.
During this period, gas sales amounted to 11.2 bcm, which was 25.7% more compared to the same period previous year. In January-June this year, 4.3 billion cubic meters of gas was sold to Türkiye, 5.4 billion cubic meters to Europe and 1.5 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During this period, the BTC pipeline system was supplied with 55 million cubic meters of gas. It should be noted that, during this period nearly 2.9 bcm gas was exported to Türkiye through TANAP.
Since its commissioning till 1 July 2022, nearly 594.8 million tons oil (including condensate) were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz. 556.8 million tons of oil were extracted from ACG, while 38 million tons condensate from Shah Deniz. Since their commissioning till 1 July 2022, 593 million tons oil (including condensate) were exported from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz.
Since their commissioning till 1 July 2022, nearly 197 billion tons oil (including condensate) were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and 170 bcm from Shah Deniz. During this period, more than 116 bcm gas were exported from Shah Deniz.
In January-June of the current year, oil refining in the country amounted to 2.7 million tons.
