Operational information on electricity in the country for 2020 were announced

According to operational information on electricity in 2020, electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 2389.3  million kWh, exports-157.56 million kWh, and imports-10.7 million kWh in December. 
In January-December 2020, electricity production in the country amounted to 25811.2 million kWh. During the reporting period, electricity generation at TPPs amounted to 24398.2 mln kWh, at HPPs to 1069.5 mln kWh, and at other sources (WPP, SPP and Solid household waste plant) to 343.55 mln kWh in comparison.  96.1 mln kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 46.9 mln kWh at SPPs, and 200.6 mln kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.
In 2020 electricity generation made up 23033.8mln kWh on "Azerenergy" OJSC (22142.5 mln kWh at TPPs, 891.3 mln kWh at HPPs), 429.7 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (230.8 mln kWh at TPPs, 157.8 mln kWh at HPPs, 41.1 mln kWh at SPP), 2272.7 mln kWh on Independent PPs) and 75.1 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC. During this period, electricity exports were 1147.8 mln kWh while imports were 136.3 mln kWh.
