Last year, wind and solar energy production increased by 162.3 million kWh.

According to operational data for 2025, the electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 28657.5 million kWh with an increase of 0.9% million kWh.

During this period, electricity production at TPPs amounted to 24823.4 million kWh, at HPPs to 2842.5 million kWh, and on other sources to 991.6 million kWh, as well as 169.7 million kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 599.8 million kWh at SPPs, and 222.1 million kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.

Compared to 2024, 769.5 million kWh in wind and solar power plants with an increase of 162.3 million kWh electricity was generated.

During 2025, electricity generation made up 25591.8 million kWh on Azerenergy OJSC (22703.6 million kWh at TPPs, 2827.1 million kWh at HPPs, 61.1 million kWh at SPPs), 27.0 million kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC, and 3038.7 million kWh on Independent Power Plants.

During reporting period, electricity exports were 1147.3 mln kWh while imports were 177.2 mln kWh.
