A commemorative event dedicated to the 33rd Anniversary of the Khojaly Tragedy was held at the Ministry of Energy.

First, the memory of the victims of the Khojaly Tragedy and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence. Deputy Minister Samir Valiyev spoke about the torture and crimes committed in 1992 by Armenian military units in Khojaly on the night of February 26. The Khojaly genocide was called a tragedy not only of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis, but of all humanity and mankind.

At the event, the important steps taken to demonstrate the Khojaly Genocide to the world were brought to the attention. It was noted that on the initiative of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, on February 24, 1994, the Azerbaijani parliament adopted a decision on the Day of the Khojaly Genocide. It was also emphasized that the terrible crimes committed by the Armenians could not break the determination of our people to fight. Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the blood of our martyrs will not remain unavenged, our army liberated occupied lands and avenged the Khojaly martyrs.
