Deputy Energy Minister attended the next meeting of energy ministers of Central Asian countries
Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov represented our country at the next Ministerial Meeting of Water and Energy of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Minister emphasized the successful development of partnership relations between Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries, the political will of the heads of state and mutual visits opened up wide opportunities for deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The information was provided about the work done by Azerbaijan in the field of energy, especially in the field of renewable energy, its successes, green energy corridors, and COP29 energy initiatives.
The Deputy Minister also participated in the discussions held at the level of deputy ministers on the development and transmission of green energy between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. At the event, the work done and the next steps to be taken to create the Azerbaijan-Central Asia-Europe green energy corridor were discussed. Fuad Mosa, Deputy Minister of Energy for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who took part in the meeting in an online format, once again expressed his country's interest in the project for the development and transmission of green energy between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and discussed issues arising from the Implementation Program signed within the COP29 between 4 countries.
Within the visit, meetings were held with the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaybek Ibrayev, as well as representatives of Datang company of the People's Republic of China and ACWA Power of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and issues of mutual cooperation were discussed.
